Simply slide the bar to the right until it matches your typical monthly electricity expenditure. The tool will then calculate the recommended solar capacity in kilowatts (kW) that should be installed on your roof in the form of photovoltaic (PV) panels. This calculation assumes a cost of R3.50 per unit of electricity and is based on an average of 5 hours of sunlight per day. Additionally, a 20% safety margin is incorporated into the result to account for potential inefficiencies and variations in solar energy production. This ensures that the suggested solar system size is sufficient to meet your energy needs and provide reliable off-grid power.
